    Pinus roxburgii is commonly known as Chir Pine, distributed in outer ranges and principle valleys of Himalayas and on the ridges of Siwalik Hills from Bhutan in the east to Afghanistan in the west and widely used in indigenous system of medicine. The bark of Pinus roxburgii was collected from the forest region of Morni Hills, Panchkula, (Haryana)..
