Introduction
In 2007, oseltamivir became available off-prescription in New Zealand when sold by a pharmacist during winter (May to September) to a consumer at least 12 years old presenting in a pharmacy with early symptoms of influenza1. This is a first in the Western World, and the Medicines Classification Committee recommended availability.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
