  Background

  There is evidence of positive health outcomes from pharmacists work in primary health care (PHC). In many countries PHC centres have employed pharmacists for dispensing and non-dispensing roles. 

  Purpose

  This study is the first analyse the pharmacy workforce and practices in public PHC facilities in Brazil, a high middle-income country..
