    Group A beta-hemolytic streptococci(GABHS) being the most common bacterial etiology of Streptococcal Pharyngitis. Despite extremely high susceptibility of Group A Streptococcus to penicillin, the failure of therapy with penicillins may occur due to beta-lactamase production by oral bacteria.
