BackgroundsChrysosplenol C (CRSP), a flavone found in several medicinal plants, is specific inhibitors of poliovirus and rhinovirus. Moreover, CRSP shows cytotoxic activity against cancer cell lines and positive inotropic action on cardiac myocytes. However, CRSP is poorly soluble in water.
