    Backgrounds

    Limitations exist with standard pharmacopoeial tablet disintegration tests when characterising rapidly disintegrating formulations. Standard tests rely heavily on the user’s judgement and their ability to visually observe the tablet. This can be challenging when faced with mini-tablets, rapidly disintegrating tablets or opaque media..
