    Low health literacy status abounds in the lifestyle of many people in urban Nigeria. This informs their actions and steps taken to mitigate their symptoms when they fall ill. Their symptom mitigation pathway, attitudes, actions and steps taken following an episode of Malaria, Hepatitis B, Hypertension or Diabetes Mellitus, were studied.
