  Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a critical WHO-recognised issue for global health. A key contributory factor is antibiotic prescribing for conditions that do not require such therapy, especially upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) as, for 60 – 90% of these, antibiotics will not provide resolution or symptom relief.
