  • Abstract:

    Background : Fluoroquinolones and third generation cephalosporins are the drugs of choice to treat Salmonella infections. The nalidixic acid-resistant Salmonella strains have been associated with treatment failure of ciprofloxacin. And the appearance of nalidixic acid-resistant strains may poses a serious therapeutic problem.
