We all know that adherence to treatment of chronic diseases is a worldwide problem. In developed countries this averages only 50%. Poor adherence severely compromises the effectiveness of treatments of diseases such as asthma, diabetes, cancer, depression, epilepsy, HIV/AIDS, hypertension, tuberculosis as well as the effective treatment of smoking
