  • Abstract:

    Introduction: Oral salbutamol undergoes first-pass metabolism. Nasal delivery could protect drugs from this effect. Mucoadhesive in-situ gels for salbutamol sulfate (SS) with gellan gum were formulated and tested in rats.

    Methods: SS in-situ gels (2% w/w) were prepared at concentration of gellan gum 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.8% w/v with methyl paraben..
