    Background

    Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an chronic immune-mediated, demyelinating condition of the central nervous system, affecting usually young adults.

    Relapsing-remitting (RR) type is found in about 85% of people with MS.

    Prognosis of MS is highly variable and many studies suggest that the clinical phenotype and prognosis are age-dependent.
