  Background

  Historically, the remuneration of Belgian pharmacists was entirely related to the price of delivered medication. Since 2010, shifts to care acts and decoupling of the remuneration from the medications’ prices were introduced. In recent years, a further evolution towards a so-called “cappuccino model” is happening.
