Background
Halocnemum strobilaceum is a terrestrial halophytic plant reported for its folk medicinal use as a digestive, a stimulant and a cure for fever; however, scanty work was reported on its root part [1].
Methods
The plant was profiled genetically using random amplified polymorphic deoxyribonucleic acid-polymerase chain reaction (RAPD-PCR) [2].
