The aim of the study was to formulate controlled release floating tablets of Verapamil HCl using karaya gum and HPMC as matrix polymers.
The floating tablets containing Verapamil hydrochloride (dose 120 mg) were prepared by direct compression technique. Drug to polymer ratio was fixed at 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3.
