  I. Background
  Fragrance is known to affect behaviours of animals and human beings. Previous studies showed that benzylacetone found in a smoke of heated agarwood has sedative effect when it was inhaled. Another study on a fragrance of Osmanthus fragrans revealed that the fragrance changed amount of food intake.
