    The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a facultative anaerobe whose metabolism depends on the presence or absence of oxygen and the carbon and energy source supporting growth. The carbon source can be used to modify the type of metabolism in yeast. According to the carbon source and the growth phase of cells, the cytochrome P-450 enzyme is produced
