  • Abstract:

Background information: Tamarind seed polysaccharide is a xyloglucan (D-galactose, D-xylose and D-glucose) obtained from seeds of Tamarindus indica. It has been used in various pharmaceutical applications such as ocular drug delivery, bio adhesive drug delivery etc.., but its use is limited due to uncontrolled rate of hydration, drop in viscosity.
