    Backgrounds: Warfarin is an oral anticoagulant that requires monitoring to avoid adverse drug reactions. Variability in warfarin dose requirements can be explained by clinical and genetic determinants. Puerto Ricans are admixed and heterogeneous having Caucasian, African and Native-American contributions.
