Objectives
The Global Network of Pharmacists Against Tobacco has been established in order to:
- Facilitate collaboration between regional pharmaceutical forums, professional pharmaceutical associations and individual pharmacists in the area of smoking cessation and anti-tobacco activities.
- Promote the role of the pharmacists’ in smoking cessation
- Participate in the WHO anti-tobacco initiatives
- Facilitate global collaboration between pharmacists and other health professionals in the field of smoking cessation
- Collect and distribute information on pharmacy-related smoking cessation activities
- Establish an e-mail List for interested organisations and individuals
- Participate in the World Conference on Tobacco or Health organised every three years by organising a Special Session for pharmacists and pharmaceutical students
