Dr. Mariet J Eksteen (PhD Health Professions Education) is the Professional Development Officer at the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA) and currently an executive committee member of the Academic Pharmacy Section of FIP. Previously, Mariet worked as a community service pharmacist in a public hospital pharmacy, as registered pharmacist in a community pharmacy and as a senior lecturer at the North-West University’s School of Pharmacy. Mariet’s research interest is teaching-learning within a Health Professions Education (HPE) framework in order to ensure competent graduates enter the workplace. Mariet is very passionate about pharmacy and enjoy both national and international involvement in the profession.
