Congresses and Activities

The CPS at the Annual Congress

CPS organises a whole week Congress programme which is tailor-made for community pharmacists. We arrange the Forum for Innovators, the Forum for Policy makers, and Practitioners' Day together with other actual continuous education activities. The annual Steering Committee meeting of the Section is also held during the Congress.

The annual Congress is an important show window for active community pharmacists. The Community Pharmacy Section invites you to present your work, either as a short oral communication or as posters. In 2012, we will also arrange the session “Hundred Community Pharmacists talk” to celebrate the Centennial of FIP.

The Congress programme of CPS is published in the homepage of FIP in our section pages and sent to our members with ZOOM, our electronic newsletter.

Participating in the Congress means a possibility to benchmark, to learn from colleagues all over the world and make new friends. Together with the continuing education, there is a lot of fun - Section dinner, showcase and welcome reception, FIP-run etc.

Discussion and newsletters

To keep our members updated, we send out ZOOM 6 times per year and 6 times per year too, we issue Professional News in which you can follow the latest pharmacy practice discussions and research. There is a possibility to discuss with colleagues in the web pages of the Section. We are also present on Facebook.

Continuing education and webinars

We understand that not all our members can participate in the annual Congress, and we therefore want to develop our activities between Congresses.

We offer on-line continuing education on the web with the programme OTC-advisor. The continuing education programme on vaccinations is under preparation.

Projects and activities

We are working on our Strategy paper Community Pharmacy 2020, and you can comment on that and discuss it in the web discussion forum.

We are going to send out a member survey to find out what you, dear member, want to have, and we offer to you the possibility to participate in the “Hundred Community Pharmacists talking about their daily activities”. The instructions about this will come to members soon.

We welcome active members to write to ZOOM and to participate in working groups. Be active and tell the ExCo about your ideas. Write to the CPS Secretariat at Pharmakon: fip@pharmakon.dk.
