General Information
Attention all participants! Important housing information:
In order to ensure that your transportation needs are met during the FIP Congress, please make sure that you book your hotel through our official agent, found in the Housing and Tours section of the website and via KW Conferences. Only persons with a transportation voucher, included in the accommodation cost when booking with the agent, are allowed on the shuttle buses.
Badges
Participants will be handed their name badges at the registration desk. Due to tight security regulations all participants and accompanying persons must wear their badges throughout the Congress.
Please allow for some extra registration time because it is possible that the Indian authorities may request that your badge includes a photo, which in that case will be taken on site. More detailed information will be made available on our website as soon as possible.
Participants with white badges will be admitted to the sessions. Accompanying persons (badges in a different color) may attend the Opening Ceremony, social events and tours but will not be allowed to attend sessions. Please note that your badge will be scanned at the entrance and exit of sessions, for accreditation and evaluation purposes.
Breaks
The coffee breaks during the sessions will be from 10:00 to 11:00 in the morning and from 15:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon. Between the sessions there will be a lunch break from 12:00 to 14:00.

Filming, Recording and Photography Production Policy
Copyright of the FIP Congress is owned by FIP – the International Pharmaceutical Federation. FIP reserves the rights to all recordings, reproductions or presentations at this Congress. As a result, any photographing, filming, taping, recording or reproduction in any medium including the use of tripod-based equipment of any of the programmes, exhibits and/or posters presented at the FIP Congress without the express written consent of FIP is strictly forbidden. FIP reserves the right to prohibit any photographing, filming, recording at its own discretion.
Insurance
The FIP Organising Committee and the India Host Committee accept no liability for personal injuries, or for loss of or damage to property belonging to Congress participants and/or accompanying persons, incurred either during or as a result of the Congress. We recommend that each participant acquires personal insurance.
No Smoking
Please note that all FIP Congresses are tobacco-free: Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere, not in the session rooms, not in the exhibition area, not in the poster sessions and not in the registration area.
Press Room
The Congress Press Room will offer a number of services, strictly limited for official press representatives and professional journalists. They will have access to written press material (press releases, speakers’ presentations, etc.) and to working facilities as well as a chance to socialise with their colleagues. There will also be a series of media briefings highlighting prominent topics. Press accreditation and Press registration are required to have access to the Congress Press Room. For more information, please contact FIP at press@fip.org
Public Transport
A Public Transport system does exist in Hyderabad to transport the vast populace between their homes and work places. However for a first time visitor, trying to use this will be a bit of a challenge as one needs to have the lay of the land to find their way to and from Bus Stops and also know which Bus to take to reach their destination. While the local bus system is effective in the sense it enables the citizens to reach their destinations in time, it is not robust enough to cater to the needs of a Conference visitor. Call Taxis are available but there is a waiting time of 30-40 minutes and in the peak hours this waiting time may be more.
Technical Equipment in Session Rooms
All session rooms will have LCD projectors and laptops. There will be a technician available in every session room. Speakers will receive detailed instructions with regard to their presentation prior to the Congress.
Travel Grants
FIP is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation, in general not allowed to accept any sponsorship from e.g. pharmaceutical industry, and therefore not able to give any sponsorship either, nor to waive registration fees for its congresses.
