    Background: Gene delivery using cationic polymers such as chitosan shows good biocompatibility, but reveals low transfection efficiency. Fibronectin Attachment Protein of Mycobacterium bovis (FAP-B) can be considered as a new targeting ligand and can improve transfection rates in epithelial cells.
