    Background.

    Osteoporosis is the condition in which a low bone mass and altered microarchitecture of the bone leads to increased risk of fracture. Osteoporosis is a growing disease in Latin America. Measures of Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) have gained increasing attention as relevant outcomes in clinical studies of osteoporosis.
