  Background
  - The major role of pharmacovigilance (PV) within the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory agencies is to promote safe medicine use by the public.
  
  Aims:
  The aim of this study was to describe PV processes in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry and to assess the PV knowledge of the individuals who were responsible for these processes.
