SERBIAN PHARMACY DAY-185 YEARS OF THE FIRST PHARMACY IN SERBIA

  • Abstract:

    It was 30th April of 1830 when the first Pharmacy was established in Serbia. In this year Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Mahmut II (1785-1839) issued a hatt-i sharif or imperial edict which was a great turning point for the development of Serbia. By this edict Serbia was given the right to build schools, churches, and also hospitals and pharmacies.
