    Pterodon pubescens Benth. (Leguminosae) is a native plant found in central Brazil, commonly known as Sucupira, widely used in traditional medicine. Anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties have been reported.

    Carbopol® 940 gel was used as base and 2.5% extract was incorporated. The product was packed in clear glass containers and a 6-months study
