  • Abstract:

    Background: Polymyxins (PM), the last-line therapy for Gram-negative 'superbugs', can cause nephrotoxicity in ~60% of patients. PM-induced nephrotoxicity is the dose-limiting factor and is associated with apoptosis of tubular cells.
