The network: presentation and services offered
Created in 1995, the FIP International Network for Pharmacists on HIV/AIDS aims to:
- Promote the role of pharmacists’ in the fight against HIV/AIDS
- Participate in promoting World Health Organization HIV/AIDS initiatives
- Facilitate collaboration between individual pharmacists, professional associations and regional pharmaceutical forums
- Facilitate global collaboration between pharmacists and other health professionals involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS
- Establish an e-mail list for experience exchange between interested organizations and individuals
- Participate in international AIDS Conferences by organizing or supporting presentations relevant to pharmacists and pharmaceutical students
- Collect and distribute information on pharmacy-related HIV/AIDS activities and pharmacist based research on HIV/AIDS
To achieve these goals, the network has developed during the last years, some publications to facilitate the work of pharmacists in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
