    Methods

    To test the theory, ATP levle was measured after ALDH knockdown or ALDH inhibition was treated to NSCLC.

    Results

    We found that ATP supply was reduced by ALDH inhibition through NADH oxidative phosphorylation, suggesting that NSCLC may depend on aldehydes for ATP production. ALDH knockdown also significantly reduced ATP production in A549..
